Pam Holland
July 14th & 15th
in Brainerd

Pam Holland from Australia will be speaking at our July meeting on the 12th, she is a wonderful and interesting person who travels and teaches all over the world.  We are also very fortunate to have her teaching "Journal Quilt Techniques" on July 14th and 15th.  Day 1 will be for creating the quilt top and day 2 for quilting it.  Pam suggests you bring a photo you have taken and has some meaning to you.  No, this is not a photo transfer class, Pam will bring a pattern that you can use along with your photo to create an image that is meaningful, without stress.  You can check out her website at http://web.me.com/pamholland3/Pam_Holland_Designs/Welcome.html.

The class fee is $50.00 for the two days, I need to have 20 students signed up in order to pay Pam and there are only 11 people signed up so far.  Please consider signing up for this class, I am sure you will not be disappointed.

What to bring to the class:

If you have a pre existing sketchbook, it would be an advantage
Photos or notes of the experience you wish to journal
Pencil
Paper, the size of you would like your quilt to be
.5 black pigment ink pen...look for a Zig pen, you can buy them at Crafts direct or Michael's
2 sheets of tracing paper...(Pam prefers velum) if you can get it
frabic to match your images (small print or batik)
fine fusible web, Pam suggests steam a seam lite

The class will be held at Brenny Funeral Home, just behind Cub Foods on Excelsior Dr. in Baxter from 9am until 4pm.  Brenny has a beautiful facility and they have been so generous in letting us have classes there.  We have to be prepared to go somewhere else if there is a funeral, I will let the membership know if there is a change.

If you would like to sign up for this class, please contact Kathy Carney at 218-330-7600 or mail a check to Kathy Carney 31646 Lakeview Dr., Cushing, MN 56443.
