Very Important Information!

For many of you this will be new news and for a few of you this will be an update to my current crazy life situation! So on Wednesday September 28th I was visiting by phone with my brother who works in Williston ND… and more out of curiosity than anything, asked what kind of work was out there and if it was anything that I could handle… he kind of giggled and said let me make a phone call… By that evening I received a call from a friend of mine for many years now, offering me a job! And because of the absolutely obscene amount of money that was offered not to mention full benefits and retirement plan… I simply couldn’t say no! And you will never guess what I will be doing… I am going out there to drive a 1 ton truck with a goose neck trailer! It’s almost funny when I tell people this, because they seem to think that “because I sew… apparently I wouldn’t know how to drive a truck or back a trailer up”…
I am a believer in the fact that “everything happens for a reason” and apparently this is meant to be because everything just seems to be falling into place so far!
So… the business… after I accepted the job I figured I had better decide what to do with the quilt shop… I will be having a huge blow out sale… I will keep you posted as to what is going on and you can also watch the website for updates…
So reading this you may be thinking I am making this sound like they are easy decisions for me… but let me assure you! It has been anything but… I am leaving a home that I take a lot of pride in… it is not big or extravagant by any means but it is where I raised two wonderful children! Held many birthday parties… family get togethers… Holidays… and just simply “lived”… I am leaving a community that with the exception of one year, lived my whole life! A beautiful little town with a population of 200… of which I know 195 of them and their children and their grand children! A loving family that is so supporting and understanding that I can’t say much more than “I am blessed” And last but not least… the friends that I have made and relationships I have developed since having the quilt shop I can not even begin to tell you how many wonderful people I have met and worked with… from customers to other shop owners… “I am so lucky to have had this opportunity to be part of your circle! You have helped make this a wonderful 2 year adventure! Thank You!” Many tears have been shed at the thought of leaving everything that is important and dear to me! So… to say the least… this has been one of the hardest decisions I have EVER had to make! And will miss every aspect of the life I have become so comfortable with!
Some of the local ladies have asked to have a “fare well” get together… so it is planned for Tuesday evening October 25th from 5pm - ? I would love to have you stop in and visit! And give me a chance to “thank you for your support and patronage” from the last 2 years.
